I am a minister, entrepreneur, and philanthropist based in Forfar, Angus, Scotland.

I love meeting and networking with new people, and hearing about their own journey. I use various social media platforms to aid with this. I look forward to finding out more about you!

I am often asked about my life, and my highly unusual C.V. It's easier for me to share what I wish in writing than it is to talk about it in person. 

Before going any further, I want to make it very clear that I take no credit for any success I've had, nor will have,  and have no desire for status, praise, fame, nor admiration. I dislike it when people say that I am talented, as I view the abilities that I have as gifts that I did not earn. I feel an ethical obligation to use every gift I've been given to the benefit of others, the world, and to the best of my ability. 

Furthermore, I do not wish nor want sympathy from anyone. I believe in taking responsibility for everything in my life whether it was my fault or not. I have most certainly been through a lot more than most people yet still less than others. I share things from my journey only with a view to encouraging others who may have similar struggles, and to show what is possible with the application of faith, gifts, and darned hard work. 

Forfar

We came to Forfar as a family in 1991 when my dad was inducted as the minister of the Lowson Memorial Parish Church. This was the 6th time I'd moved, at 10 years of age! We left in 2004 due to my dad leaving the Lowson. 

I returned to Forfar in 2024, which was my 19th move, and after 18 years away. Despite being away all that time, it is still the place I've lived for the longest period, and what I regard as my home town.  I could not have received a more warm welcome, and had no idea how many people had been following my progress, and rooting for me, from afar. 

Returning to Forfar in 2024 represented for me the beginning of rebuilding my life, after having lost everything, and suffering a breakdown, in 2023. I returned to Forfar with a bed, a car, some tools, my dogs, and no job or business.

The rate of progress would not have been what it has, had it not been for the kind mentality of Forfar people, which is described locally as "wanting to see each other get on." I will always be enormously grateful for the kindness and support I've been shown. Forfar very definitely looks after its own even if, strictly speaking, someone is not originally from Forfar.    

Business

It seemed to me that my best option to put a roof over my head, and slowly acquire everything I needed to continue my YouTube car series was to "reboot" dj seven. I had retired from full-time DJ'ing by 2014. 

Fortunately, I was able to put a roof over my head, and very slowly start to build a car company called Forfar Autos. After the gig scene quietened down, I turned my full attention to Forfar Autos in summer 2025, and took over Milne & Wilson bodyshop on 1st December 2025.  Very quickly this became so busy that it has been hard to get time off, and I am very grateful for that.

Philanthropy

Realising my target of becoming a full-time philanthropist will require building multiple successful businesses, and so, I'm still at the beginning of my journey. I'm grateful to have been able to create both business and personal kindness funds, which are giving back to local community projects, and helping those in need. 

I believe in giving in such a way that "Your left hand doesn't know what your right hand is doing," so giving is done quietly, and in my capacity as a minister, as I do not wish people to give me business because of my giving. 

I do not yet know how I will become a full-time philanthropist, but I believe that I will, through using the gifts I've been given, and because I believe that it's the best way to use my desire to help others, and business acumen.   

I hope that you are well, and that your life is going well. If not, then think of a way of turning what's bad into something good. I try to do that with everything, and a great life-skill is becoming good at making lemonade when people, or indeed archaic institutions, inundate you with lemons!
